Pulled Pork

Slow cooker



  • 4lbs pork shoulder roast
  • 2 onions (medium) thinly sliced
  • 1-1/2 cup Dr Pepper/Root Beer/Coke
  • 1 bottle BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Rays) 3/4 bottle usually good enough
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • Preparation:
    1. Place half of the thinly sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker; add pork and pop along with remaining onion slices. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
    2. Drain liquid from slow cooker; chop meat coarsely & discard excess fat. Put pork back in the slow cooker. Add BBQ sauce and chopped onion. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours longer. Stir occasionally.
    3. Serve with warm split buns and coleslaw.
    4. Serves 8-10
