Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Squares

Bars / Cookies



  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Light Karo Syrup
  • 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Cups Special K Cereal
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Cup Butterscotch Chips
  • Preparation:
    1. Butter a 9" X 13" pan. (Can use Pam or Baker's Joy instead of butter
    2. Put the sugar and Karo into double boiler and warm over boiling water.
    3. Mix well to blend.
    4. Add the peanut butter, vanilla, and cereal and stir hard.
    5. Put this mixture into the buttered pan. Then pack it down to form a hard crust.
    6. Microwave Butterscotch Chips 1-1/2 minutes and then add chocolate chips and microwave together for another 30 Seconds.
    7. Mix them together and spread the mixture over the cereal mixture.
    8. Let harden in refrigerator and then cut into squares or bars.
    9. Store in refrigerator or freezer.
