Miracle Shake

Ingredients:
  • Toss the Following into a Blender:
  • 1 banana = vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium
  • 1 orange = trace vitamins and minerals, pectin
  • 1 cup variety of frozen or fresh fruits (blueberries, strawberries, mangos, pineapple, blackberries, etc)
  • about 8oz cranberry juice not from concentrate = trace vitamins and minerals, antioxidents, phyto chemicals, acid
  • splash of real lemon juice = trace vitamins and minerals, acidic
  • about 1/4 cup water
  • about 1/4 cup coconut water = potassium, electrolytes, isotonic, lauric acid, micro nutrients
  • Optional Add-ins:
  • 1/2 cup uncooked steal-cut oatmeal = soluble fiber, protein
  • 1 T spirulina = essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins Bs, C, D, A, E, potassium, and also contains calcium, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, sodium,zinc, various pigments
  • 1 T flax seed = omega 3 fatty acids, micro nutrients
  • 1-2 servings psyllium husks = insoluble fiber
  • 1-2 servings of your preferred protein powder isolate = protein
  • Preparation:
    1. I almost always add all the ingredients I listed under the optional section, but they might take some getting accustomed to so I put them as optional. You can find most of this stuff at Krogrer these days, but you might have to go to a Whole Foods type place for the Spirulina if you want to add it. Let me know if you have any questions, all that stuff is in there for one reason or another. I'm happy to help!
    2. NOTES:
    3. 1. The recipe yields 2 servings. It can be stored in the fridge for the next day.
    4. 2. The more frozen fruit used, the more juice needed.
    5. 3. All juices used should be 100% juice not from concentrate.
    6. 4. Use a protein isolate as it's the most complete form of protein. Whey, Soy, Hemp, Veggie Based, etc are all acceptable but check the label.
    7. 5. Feel free to experiment with different fruits and juices but remember to keep it natural!
